Corneal Topography

Jacksonville, FL

At Hanna Eye Care, we offer corneal topography, a state-of-the-art, non-invasive imaging technique that provides a detailed map of the curvature and shape of your cornea (the clear, front surface of your eye). We use this innovative technology to diagnose corneal conditions, custom-fit contact lenses, and determine your suitability for LASIK surgery.

What is corneal topography?

Corneal topography (also called corneal mapping) is a painless and quick procedure that captures thousands of data points to create a high-resolution, 3D image of the cornea. This detailed map allows us to assess the overall health of your corneal surface and detect irregularities that can’t be seen with standard eye exams.

Why is corneal topography important?

The shape of your cornea affects how light enters your eye, and therefore, how clearly you see. Small irregularities or distortions in your cornea can lead to vision problems or impact the fit of your contact lenses. With corneal topography, we can detect even subtle changes or abnormalities in the cornea that could be early signs of eye disease or complications.
